China Petroleum Materials & Equipment Corporation (CPMEC)

　　CPMEC is a specialized service company fully owned by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, CPMEC is an independent economic entity registered at State Administration of industry and Commerce Ranking 15th among China's top100 goods suppliers. CPMEC is a large scale enterprise engaged mainly in materials supply and equipment manufacture for the oil and gas industry-CPMEC is authorized with the rights for import and export business including import of steel materials and the rights for international tenders.

　　With the strong economic and technical advantages, CPMEC operates in different sectors, different regions and different countries under a flexible ownership system. CPMEC assets total RMB8 billion with the annual trade volume exceeding RMB10 billion. CPMEC has established four independent technical research institutes undertaking the research and experiment of petroleum tubular goods, petroleum and petrochemical equipment and oil field chemicals. CPMEC has established 10 goods supply companies in the country's large and medium-size cities, such as Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xian, Shenyang, KunShan and Cangzhou, providing the supply and marketing service for all the enterprises under CNPC. Besides, CPMEC has six petroleum machinery plants respectively in Baoji, XianYang, Xian, Jinan and Chengde, with the brand products including drilling equipment and accessories, energy-saving towing equipment for pumping unit, specialized steel cable, spiral-welded pipe, longitudinally-welded pipe and casing, geophysical equipment and logging instruments, large diesel engine series and gas engine, electric motor and electric controlling equipment. The technologies of those enterprises have reached the advanced level both at home and abroad. The six plants are certified by lS09000with their key products authorized with the rights for use of API monogram. The products have been exported to Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East. CPMEC has established its business offices in the United States, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Sudan, Bahrain and Japan.

　　To expand its domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, CPMEC has established broad and stable trade channels, playing a leading role in the now of goods at home. CPMEC has built up long-term and stable trade relations with the partners in 45 countries and regions worldwide and signed agent agreements with over 100 Chinese and foreign manufacturers. Trusted by more than 20 oil fields and refineries as well as150 oil equipment manufacturers under CNPC for overseas procurements, CPMEC annually imports value of US$600-700 million of petroleum-dedicated steel, equipment and apparatus. Involved in the key projects for West China's Development, CPMEC is fully responsible for goods procurement, tendering business, lease of large-scale plant equipment and procurement for part of imported equipment for the West-to-East gas pipeline project. In addition, CPMEC is responsible for production of large-diameter spiral-welded pipes for the project and import of the equipment for the long-distance oil and gas transmission pipelines constructed by CNPC. It also provides procurement service for the overseas oil and gas exploration and development projects operated by CNPC, winning reputation from customers both at home and abroad.
